Dr. Ellis is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association (Clinical and Psychotherapy Divisions) and a Founding Fellow of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. In addition to his clinical and teaching duties, he conducts research on suicide, including the psychology of suicidal individuals and the effectiveness of psychotherapeutic interventions. His books include "Choosing to Live: How to Defeat Suicide through Cognitive Therapy" and "Cognition and Suicide: Theory, Research, and Therapy."Websites
