Professional Statement
As a Research Nutritionist with the USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS), stationed at the Children’s Nutrition Research Center (CNRC) at Baylor College of Medicine, my work is dedicated to advancing the field of precision nutrition through the integration of bioanalytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML). My research aims to decode complex dietary behaviors and identify actionable insights for chronic disease prevention, particularly obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and cancer. With a Ph.D. in Nutrition and a foundational background in molecular cancer biology, I bring a multidisciplinary perspective to my work, combining expertise in nutrition science with computational modeling and data science. My current focus is on leveraging AI/ML techniques to improve dietary assessment and develop predictive models that support personalized nutrition strategies across varied population groups.
I am deeply committed to contributing to the CNRC’s mission of improving child health and development through innovative research. By collaborating with mentors and fellow scientists, I hope to expand the evidence base for precision nutrition and translate cutting-edge research into meaningful public health solutions.
