In addition, he studies the electrocardiogram in acute myocardial ischemia and in patients with pacemakers. Dr. Birnbaum is the editor in chief of Cardiovascular Drugs and Therapy and an associate editor of Cardiovascular Diabetology and Journal of Electrocardiology and serves on the editorial boards of several other journals.
