About the Core
The Bioengineering Core offers cutting-edge biomedical research and health care by designing and fabricating custom scientific instruments and medical devices for investigators and physicians.
The Bioengineering Core has an engineer and a machinist on staff with many years of experience who are able to address a broad range of engineering and fabrication challenges.
In addition, the Bioengineering Core has at its disposition a range of advanced machinery and instruments, including a computer controlled 5-axis mill and lathe, as well as a 3D printer and laser cutter. Past projects range from high precision engineering and fabrication of mechanical parts to advanced electronics and optical instruments.
