About the Lab
Parallel to Dr. Jalali’s clinical interest in brain tumors, research in the Jalali Lab is primarily focused on glioma, the most common and lethal tumor of the brain tissue. More specifically, we are is interested in how these brain tumors develop and progress, and in understanding the role of various inherited genetic alterations and mutations in this process. Ultimately, we believe that a better understating of these biological pathways and their vulnerabilities will enable development of more effective treatments for glioma.
