About the Program
The Mood and Anxiety Disorders Program at Baylor College of Medicine is committed to caring for those with mood and anxiety disorders and to discovering new, innovative, therapies for patients suffering from these conditions in order to improve the quality of life for these individuals and their families. The program pursues excellence in patient-oriented research, education and community outreach, with a spirit of beneficence, humility and integrity.
Our Research
Our research program is dedicated to research on depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, suicidality, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Many of our current studies involve testing and developing novel treatments for these disorders. Other studies focus on better understanding their causes, progression, and course over time. If you or someone you know is struggling with one of these disorders and not responding well to current treatment, please consider participation in one of our clinical research trials. While we cannot always guarantee a specific treatment, your participation will make a meaningful and valuable contribution in developing more effective treatments for those who suffer from these disorders.
