My name is Camilla Do, and I graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana with a B.S. in chemistry.

What interests me is pharmacology and therapeutics. I want to be involved in translational research where I have the potential to help someone one day through my skills as a researcher or chemist. Maybe I won’t help that person directly, but I can contribute to someone’s research whether it be discovering something new relating to a particular disease or finding a novel target compound.

I am also considering entering academia to teach! As a first-year graduate student, I am currently rotating in different laboratories. One exciting thing about research is that I get to learn new techniques and apply it to my research. As a graduate student, I enjoy reading different scientific articles and discussing the material with my peers.

One fun fact is that I grow and care for succulents as a hobby.
