- Expertscape rankings of section faculty include #1 expert in LDL-C in the United States and #3 in the world, and top 0.01% for Atherosclerosis
- Section faculty published ~200 articles this year, 50 in high-impact journals including New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet, Nature Medicine, and Cell
- Section faculty presented basic science, clinical, and translational research at key national and international conferences, including the annual meetings of the American College of Cardiology, American Diabetes Association, and American Heart Association
- The section's Preventive Cardiology fellow was a finalist for the American College of Cardiology Scientific Session Young Investigator Award
