The Texas Medical Center is the largest medical complex in the world, spanning 50 million square feet and providing treatment to over 8 million patients per year. It is also home to the world’s largest children’s hospital and cancer hospital and continues to expand to this day.
With no dominant ethnicity in Houston, the city's diversity is reflected in the patient populations at our clinical facilities. Patients also travel from around the world to the Texas Medical Center, adding to the diversity of our patient population.
Baylor's clinical genetics program is the largest in the country, with 14 clinics spanning across multiple genetics-based disciplines.
Our residents and fellows have opportunities for rotations in genetics clinics and in-patient services at some of the nation's best hospitals.
Baylor Medicine at McNair Campus
Residents and fellows may have rotations in numerous Baylor Medicine clinics including General Adult Genetics, Cardiovascular Genetics, Metabolic and Genetic Disorders of the Bone and Connective Tissue Disorders. Learn about the Baylor Medicine Medical Genetics clinics.

Texas Children’s Hospital
Texas Children’s Hospital is consistently ranked among the top children’s hospitals in the world, providing unprecedented excellence in pediatric care and attracts unique cases from across the country. Our residents and fellows participate in clinics and in-patient services at both Texas Childen's Hospital and Texas Children's Pavilion for Women. This includes opportunities for rotations at the following:

The second largest government building in the United States (second only to the Pentagon), the MEDVAMC serves as the health care provider for more than 113,000 Veterans.
