The Menninger Clinic is actively engaged in a variety of research projects designed to advance our understanding of mental illness and its effective treatment. Our researchers participate as principal investigators and co-investigators of various studies, the focus of which currently includes biologically-based research to better understand mechanisms of mental illness, translational studies to utilize these markers to improve the measurement and efficacy of treatment, and the development of novel evidence-based treatments and technologies for improving patient care. Our researchers publish frequently in peer-reviewed journals, write books and book chapters, and present their research nationally and internationally. We enjoy collaborating with others locally, nationally and worldwide including Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Medical Center (TMC), TMC Innovation, University of Houston, Texas Tech University, Stanford University, Virginia Tech, McLean/Harvard, Washington University, University College London, and many others. We also provide a wide variety of research opportunities for undergraduate, graduate, or medical students. Our research is funded by The Menninger Clinic Foundation, private foundations, and the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). Menninger Research is led by Dr. Michelle Patriquin, Director of Research Operations. Please contact Dr. Patriquin for more information on Menninger Research.
