Research is a prominent focus of the division, similar to the department as a whole. The division boasts numerous federally funded, foundation-funded and investigator-initiated projects focusing on intervention, psychopathology, health services research, and innovative methods of service delivery. Studies are conducted with patients across the lifespan from early childhood to geriatric populations in a variety of settings. Populations of interest include anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, behavioral medicine/health psychology, substance use, racial and ethnic minorities, human trafficking survivors and victims.
