All students and trainees across schools and programs have access to study space conducive to individual and collaborative studying, and social space to eat, recharge and relax.
Academic Success Center Study Spaces (DeBakey M208, M411)
4,000 square feet on the second and fourth floors of DeBakey.
Each floor includes seating ideal for small group and individual studying.
Desktop computers, printers, dry-erase boards, and other equipment are available for trainee use. Study rooms are first come, first serve.
ASC student assistants are on-site seven days a week, ready to help. If a student assistant is not available while you are using the space, e-mail us at academicsuccess@bcm.edu or call (713) 798-4154 for assistance.
Student Lounge (DeBakey M206)
The student lounge kitchenette includes microwaves, refrigerators, a sink, and more.
Leisure/recreational activities available for all learners (e.g., foosball, video games, pool).
Flexible study space, such as treadmills and standing desks, is in the back of the lounge for students who learn better in a more active environment.
Prayer and Relaxation Space (DeBakey M411.02)
Inside of the ASC on the fourth floor, learners can find space to pray, nap, meditate, or just kick back and relax in between study sessions.
Lounge chairs, yoga mats, and other wellness resources are available for use.
Academic Success Center Lending Library (DeBakey M208.01)
The ASC library in M208.01 offers a host of books and study materials available for students to borrow. Need access to other resources, such as journals or other books? You can visit the TMC Library. Schedule a virtual consultation with a TMC Librarian for more information.
Richard D. Haines Medical Library
10,000 square feet on the third floor of the Medical Education Center (MEC 302)
