Dr. Crystal Shin, assistant professor of surgery in the Division of General Surgery, has been invited to serve as a faculty at-large member of Baylor College of Medicine’s Inclusion and Excellence Council for a two-year term. Dr. Shin is also a member of the equity, diversity, and inclusion committee within the Controlled Release Society. In the department, her research interests focus on developing biomaterials for surgical applications and broadly applicable drug delivery systems by integrating nanotechnology and 3D bioprinting technology.
