Clinical Trials
Find cancer clinical trials currently open at Baylor College of Medicine.
With five affiliated hospitals and patient care centers treating different patient populations, Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center members have access to an exceptionally strong patient base for clinical and translational research.
We continue to make valuable advancements into improved patient care through research, expediting the transfer of laboratory findings to bedside therapies. Our focus on conducting innovative clinical trials enables us to learn more about how drug therapies are working at a molecular level early on, so that we may more quickly apply new medications to benefit broader patient populations.
For our patients, participation in these clinical trials provides an opportunity to take part in the cancer discovery process while receiving expert medical care from investigators that rank among the leading specialists in their fields.
Clinical Research Resources
Clinical Trials Support Unit
The CTSU provides operational support of clinical research to DLDCCC members. The CTSU mission is to promote high-quality, regulatory-compliant clinical research by providing centralized management and oversight.
Protocol Review and Monitoring Committee
Review, approval and monitoring of all cancer-related clinical research is a requirement of NCI-designated cancer centers. The PRMC serves this function for the DLDCCC. Subject enrollment cannot begin until all proper regulatory approvals have been obtained, including both PRMC and IRB approvals.
Data and Safety Monitoring
DSM serves to ensure patient safety and to assist investigators with developing appropriate monitoring plans for their protocols.
OnCore® Clinical Trials Management System
The Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center uses Forte’s OnCore® Clinical Trials Management System, a best-of-breed system for managing the full clinical protocol lifecycle and associated data. OnCore was released in August 2014 and is now available to priority clinical trials from DLDCCC clinical investigators in a pilot phase. Learn more about OnCore.
