Baylor Genetics offers training in Laboratory Genetics and Genomics.

Laboratory Genetics and Genomics is a new specialty of the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics that incorporates training in both molecular and cytogenetic techniques and interpretations in a single 24-month program. Upon satisfactory completion of the 24 months of training, individuals may apply to the ABMGG to take the certification examination in Laboratory Genetics and Genomics. The 24 months of training will integrate training in the laboratory assessment of aneuploidies, copy number variants, single nucleotide variants, absence of heterozygosity and abnormal methylation for both constitutional disorders as well as cancers.
