Upon completion of the one-year fellowship, fellows will demonstrate knowledge and technical competency in the endovascular treatment of patients with tumors, aneurysms, intracranial and spinal arteriovenous malformations, vascular occlusions, vascular dissections, vasospasm and strokes.

BSLMC is the main adult teaching hospital for the Department of Neurosurgery, Baylor College of Medicine. We perform over 50 neuroendovascular procedures per month (almost half of which are neurointerventions). The cases cover the spectrum of neuroendovascular treatments from aneurysms, vascular malformations, tumors, atherosclerotic diseases, to acute ischemic stroke. Similarly, TCH is our pediatric teaching hospital and we perform about 10 cases a month. These cases range from congenital vascular malformations, trauma, tumor, to acute ischemic stroke. We also have a Zeego robotic unit dedicated to large animal angiography and research which the fellow can take of. At the end of the fellowship, the fellow is expected to be competent in performing both adult and pediatric diagnostic angiography and neurointerventions independently.
