The Division of Critical Care Medicine also offer one year of additional training in pediatric cardiac critical care. The positions are available to those who have completed fellowships in pediatric critical care medicine, neonatology or cardiology. The curriculum is tailored with the individual candidates’ previous experience and training in mind. Our Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Program provides a unique interface among critical care medicine, cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, cardiac anesthesia and neonatology. Candidates will experience a wide breadth of pediatric cardiac critical care from over 1,000 admissions per year, which includes the care of children with congenital and acquired cardiovascular disease. We have one of the largest cardiomyopathy/heart failure populations, as well as one of the largest cardiac transplantation and ventricular assist device programs in the country.
