Thoracic Surgery Independent Fellowship Research

Part of the central vision of Baylor College of Medicine is its research mission. All Thoracic Surgery fellows have ample opportunity and support to participate in this mission. In order to provide mentorship and resources to optimize fellow participation in research projects, quarterly research meetings are held for all thoracic surgery fellows to review progress in projects and discuss new opportunities. Fellows have access to a core of Departmental experts in education, clinical study design an analysis, and scientific writing. Fellows are expected to submit a least two manuscripts to peer reviewed journals before the start of their third year.
