In our section, we focus on the care of patients with complex autoimmune, inflammatory, allergic, and immunodeficiency disease states. We provide clinical services at the Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center, Ben Taub General Hospital, and the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center.

Our team researches the causes, treatments, and outcomes of multi-system autoimmune, allergic, and immunodeficiency diseases. Most of our faculty are engaged in a full spectrum of clinical research, from the lab bench to clinical trials. We provide care for patients with rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, scleroderma, Sjogren’s Syndrome, vasculitis, gout, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, local musculoskeletal conditions and for uncommon and rare complex autoimmune rheumatic and connective tissue diseases.

We have two distinct and highly regarded fellowships in clinical rheumatology and allergy and immunology. Our commitment to excellence in research, education, and patient care continues, and we endeavor to train and educate the next generation of physicians and scientists.

Our section is committed to establishing trustful relationships and treating our patients to the best of our abilities. Whether you seek compassionate clinical care, looking for opportunities in collaborative research, or are pursuing fellowship training, I invite you to explore our website to learn more.
