Cervical cancer occurs when abnormal cells on the cervix grow out of control. The cervix is the lower part of the uterus that opens into the vagina. At the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center, we are committed to personalized, compassionate, cutting-edge care for women and their families with a diagnosis of cervical cancer and dysplasia (pre-cancer). If you have questions or want to make an appointment, call (713) 798-1999.
There’s Every Reason to Choose the Duncan Cancer Center

Our gynecologic oncologists are skilled in various surgical techniques, including robotic-assisted surgery and other minimally invasive procedures, to give patients options for their surgical treatment.

Clinical trials are available to give patients access to the latest treatment options. These clinical trials often include immunotherapy options.

By injecting a dye during surgery which highlights representative lymph nodes, patients can avoid a full lymph node dissection and decrease their risk of lower extremity swelling (lymphedema) after surgery.
