NASA Human Research Program (HRP): TRISH is supported by NASA HRP. The goal of the HRP is to provide human health and performance countermeasures, knowledge, technologies, and tools to enable safe, reliable, and productive human space exploration.

NASA Integrated Path to Risk Reduction: HRP organizes the most up-to-date evidence which forms the basis of existence of a risk to the human system, gaps in our knowledge about characterizing or mitigating the risk, and the tasks to be carried out in order to produce the deliverables needed to close the gaps and reduce the risk.

Countermeasure Readiness Level (CRL) and Technology Readiness Level (TRL) Descriptors: TRISH uses NASA’s CRL/TRL levels to assess project or technology status.
