SSO is coming to Poll Everywhere

Beginning Jan. 1, 2025, Education Technology will transition Poll Everywhere authentication to Single Sign-On. Below is the announcement sent out by email.

Announcement

To streamline the login experience, BCM will be transitioning to Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication for accessing Poll Everywhere. This means that starting Jan. 1, 2025, you will no longer be able to log in directly to Poll Everywhere using your current username and password. Instead, you will need to use your BCM credentials to access your Poll Everywhere account.

Along with this, we urge you not to change the email address associated with your account, as that could cause future login issues.

We understand that change can sometimes be challenging, but this transition will ultimately benefit both you and your students by providing a more convenient sign-up and login process.

What will change:

  • While logging into the Poll Everywhere plugin in PowerPoint, users will be prompted to login through a Federated BCM login with Single Sign-On.  Users will use their BCM username and password instead of their previous credentials.  To view login changes click here.

If you encounter any issues or have any questions about this change, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team at ed-tech@bcm.edu.
