2023-2024 Recruitment Season

Content

Our intern recruitment committee reviews each application closely to identify the best candidates for our program. We pride ourselves on a holistic review of applications that includes academic performance, letters of recommendation, activities, personal statements, and personal factors indicating professionalism, work ethic, resilience, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion. We do not use strict Step 1 and Step 2 cut off scores.

Please note that we are unable to sponsor H1 visas at our institution. We also can only review applications from current students or graduates who attended medical school at an institution approved by the Texas Medical Board (view the list). If you require an H1 visa or graduated from a school that is not on the TMB's approved list, we are unfortunately unable to review your application.
