We recognize the importance of all members of healthcare and scientific teams mastering the essential competencies of interprofessional education. Therefore, opportunities for IPE are integrated throughout many Baylor College of Medicine programs.
Many residency and fellowship programs at the College hold regular interprofessional workshops and conferences as part of their core educational offerings. Some programs also include specific initiatives aimed at honing interprofessional competencies. For example, in the Primary Care Track in the Internal Medicine Residency residents receive focused training in interprofessional, team-based care.
