Meet with or email your department representative on the Faculty Senate to get updates about College initiatives or to share your thoughts or suggestions.

Work on getting that promotion. Faculty Development offers career planning workshops and one on one coaching.

Join faculty committees and subcommittees. See list of committees* with current membership and description of committee roles. Speak with your chair or center director or the committee chair regarding opportunities for involvement.

Take on new roles. See internal postings, committee openings, volunteer options and other faculty opportunities.*

Read Faculty Commons to keep up-to-date on developments at the College.

Find the latest research and medical information. Visit the TMC Library website and physical location.

Participate in College surveys. Results of the Faculty Satisfaction Survey* were discussed at the Faculty Town Hall Meeting.

Baylor College of Medicine honored five of its leading faculty members with the Michael E. DeBakey, M.D. Excellence in Research Award: Dr. Jeannie Chin, associate professor of neuroscience; Dr. Christine Eng, professor of molecular & human genetics; Dr. Grzegorz Ira, professor of molecular & human genetics; Dr. Dennis Villareal, professor of medicine – endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism; and Dr. Yong Xu, associate professor of pediatrics and molecular & cellular biology.
