Division of Continuing Professional Development
Baylor College of Medicine’s Division of Continuing Professional Development provides continuing medical education activities that promote lifelong learning and support efforts to enhance competence and physician performance in patient care, medical knowledge, practice-based learning and improvement, interpersonal and communication skills, professionalism and systems-based practice.
Accreditation
Baylor College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians. Baylor received Accreditation with Commendation, the highest level obtainable, in the most recent review by the ACCME in 2019, and has been so recognized (i.e., March 2013, March 2007, and November 2000) ever since that status was made available by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education.
Social Work
Baylor College of Medicine, Division of Continuing Professional Development (License Number 7270) is an approved continuing education provider for Social Workers through the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners.

Educational Services
Baylor's Division of Continuing Professional Development offers certification services to support educational development and works with activity directors to develop program needs assessments, implement plans, and evaluate outcomes. It also uses the resources of Baylor’s Center for Collaborative and Interactive Technologies to develop innovative educational delivery methods, including just-in-time education, quality improvement, and online clinical decision support.
