STARLIGHT (State-Funded Trial Assessing Recovery and Long-term Impact of Guided Psilocybin for Healing Trauma (H-50300)

This study aims to evaluate the safety and efficacy of psilocybin-assisted therapy for Veterans with PTSD. The open-label trial will involve two psilocybin sessions combined with psychotherapy to assess its impact. The primary objectives are to determine effect on clinician-rated PTSD symptoms, while secondary goals include evaluating self-reported PTSD, depression, anxiety, quality of life, and psychological flexibility. An exploratory objective involves analyzing functional connectivity changes via optional fMRI scans.
