Genetics of Embryonal and Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma Study Registry (H-44388)

Description

Content

The purpose of this study is to learn more about how changes in DNA sequence (called genetic mutations) affect a person's chances of developing rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS). To do this, we are studying and comparing genes of people with RMS and of their parents and siblings. Study participation will involve completing a questionnaire by mail or through the internet about family health history. and providing a small saliva sample. The saliva samples will help us identify possible genes related to the development of RMS. Participation in this study is voluntary. This research may help the investigators better understand the genetic causes of RMS, and the results from this study may help improve future screening methods for RMS.
