Immune Function and the Progression of Type 1 Diabetes (H-53859)

This is an observational study that involves one-time blood draw and data collection.

This study aims to identify novel type 1 diabetes biomarkers and signatures that can increase our understanding of type 1 diabetes pathogenesis and open new venues for prevention and treatment of this disease.

Eligibility Criteria: 

• Children, adolescents and adults with type 1 diabetes or type 2 diabetes.
• Relatives of individuals with type 1 diabetes
• Individuals with neither diabetes nor a relative with diabetes (healthy controls)
